It’s got a pretty good cast. At least Emmerich’s taking a break from aliens.

Mandy Moore ... (rumored)
When I think of the battle of Midway the first person that springs to mind is Mandy Moore so hopefully the rumors are true.

If you leave aside the questionable altering of history The Patriot was actually a pretty solid movie. If for once Emmerich had a strong script he could make an effective movie.

How can an unremarkable peasant write such undying works of art when he, mein Roland, the son of a "wealthy founder of a garden machinery production company", can only muster Independence Day: Resurgence? Conspiracy, I say!

Dude, you can't have too many movies about World War 2. Even the crumby ones are better than the movies made about other wars.

I agree with the others saying you can't have too many WW2 movies. Bring it on

I am a little surprised he’s directing this. I reckon he’s needing work since ID4: Resurgence bombed.

I cannot wait to see it.
It's probably one of only two I will see in theater this year.
The original was one of the first few films I ever saw in theater.
To see this done in the style of Pearl Harbor (2001) will be mind blowingly cool.
