Kinda funny that what was considered a massive disappointment at the time is the best prequel. I just can't take the fakery and atrocious acting in the other two.

Still like Revenge of the Sith a tad better but yeah, TPM isn't that bad.

So this is a video clip of The Phantom menace but with the audio of a last Jedi review?

Have any of you ever watched the famous 90 minute Mr. Plinkett review of The Phantom Menace from Red Letter Media?

Ah TPM, the movie I hoped would save 90s sci fi from the era of garbage like Stargate and The Fifth Element disappointingly changed the look and style of Star Wars to imitate those 2 crap movies.

I actually like Stargate better than Episodes II and III. TPM is easily the best of the prequels, but that's not saying much. Kurt Russell is the saving grace of Stargate although the man who would be Robert California does okay.

It's not great, but it's still better than "Attack of the Clones" which is just unremarkably bland and dull.

I really like Kurt Russel, but after the crushing disappointment of Escape from LA followed by Stargate, I became convinced 90s sc fi was clearly in the toilet for the most part.

Wow, 20 years and I've still not seen a film as bad in the theatre since Watch " SHOWGIRLS", " LAKE PLACID", or the 1998 " GODZILLA" Movie. Although to be fair, " SHOWGIRLS" is actually (to me at least) 1 of the Very Rare Types of Bad Movies that are just so Bad that they are actually Enjoyable to watch again and again.

Have any of you ever watched the famous 90 minute Mr. Plinkett review of The Phantom Menace from Red Letter Media? As much as I agree with some of his criticism, I don't think he's funny whatsoever and in retrospect the other two are even worse. I can at least watch this movie when it's on TV for Darth Maul, Liam Neeson, and better light saber fights and effects. The other two is nothing but awful acting and special-effects with overly choreographed light saber fights
