I like Rain Man. The guy it's (sort of) based on, Kim Peek, had an incredible brain. You could go to him, tell him your name and he could tell you how many people in the US telephone directory shared your name, where they lived, what their numbers were etc...
I like the ending too, sort of sad, but realistic, and it shows how the characters view each other.

Excellent film. One of 1988's best movies.

It's a good movie, but not one I revisit often. 8/10.

Honestly, 'Rain Man' is like 'Forrest Gump', I only re-watch 'Forrest Gump' because of Gary Sinise and 'Rain Man' because of Valeria Golino. Both films don't leave much to appreciate after the impact of the first viewing.

A good film which has traditional story telling. If they were to make it now they would jut all over the place with the timeline to try and keep the ADD crowd awake.

I saw it in theaters & loved it. But, now I wouldn't watch it again. Tom Cruise creeps me out. I can't stand looking at him.

Rain Man made me a Cruise fan. I hadn't realized how talented he is before that.

I feel that if Hoffman's performance was Oscar worthy, so should have been Karloff's in 'Bride of Frankenstein'.
