It really burns my butt to see scum like Mike Murdock, Kenneth Copeland, Peter Popov, et al, preaching the prosperity gospel while they fly around in their jets and live on estates. Copeland has a runway at his waterfront estate that can handle his own jet. When Copeland wants to go somewhere, his pilot comes to him instead of Copeland going to a local airport. Today, I was watching an old episode of Boston Legal entitled, "Whose God is it anyway". A Scientologist is suing for wrongful termination. The Scientologist is on the witness stand defending L. Ron Hubbard, the founder. I loved the following dialog:
Attorney: Most Scientologists believe brother Hubbard will return. Witness: And Christians believe that Jesus will come again, are they all nuts? Attorney: Mostly Cute writing by David E. Kelly, but the kicker came when the attorney quoted L. Ron Hubbard long before he founded Scientology. L. Ron Hubbard began his career as a science fiction writer. At several times in the 1940s, Hubbard was quoted as saying, I often wonder how rich (or powerful) Mary Baker Eddy, Joseph Smith, or Charles Taze Russell became.

In the Acts of the Apostles, a magician named Simon tries to buy the Holy Spirit from Sts. Peter & John, and Peter condemns him for daring to think he can buy God. Simon Magus Tries To Buy The Holy Spirit
