Probably more than watching Die Hard on satellite dish, though my husband turned it up LOUD. I don't think you understood the joke. Ah, was Sulla referring to a different kind of bomb?

I have heard bombs go off near my Presidential Palace in CHAD when the Sudanese and Gambians have made puny attempts to assassinate me.

I guess anybody who's seen a large-scale fireworks display has heard a bomb go off: those "big" fireworks are essentially a bomb bursting in air. I knew an ex soldier with PTSD who saw plenty of action had to work somewhere with fireworks going off nightly and he hated it. He wasn’t aware when they would go off, and it was always a surprise to most people who would jump but him especially. He was working very close to the area they were fired as well.

Doesn't count, but I've heard a sonic boom. So loud that windows shook. It was caused by a meteor impact about 20 kilometres from my home.
