Maybe not, although keep in mind that the DCAU version of Batman also happened to have slept with his adopted son’s girlfriend, and according to a comic set in that universe, he even got her pregnant. That’s pretty perverted, especially considering that Bruce knew her since she was a child.
According to Alan Moore, forceful insertions are off limits for him, and Alan Moore is the same guy who has used rape repeatedly in his works. Also, using sexuality as a weapon is Poison Ivy’s thing.
It’s a pointless change is what I’m saying. It doesn’t enhance the character in anyway, unless we desperately needed confirmation that the Joker likes women and isn’t gay for Batman like Frank Miller implied.
So, the Joker turning into an ice cream truck under normal conditions is perfectly okay? Well, to each their own.
I didn’t say that DC has a problem with her initial depiction because of how she impacts the Joker. If they did, they never would’ve brought her into the comics in the first place. I’m saying that Harley Quinn’s entire existence is blatantly misogynistic, given that she’s portrayed as a ditzy trophy wife for the Joker who has very little agency of her own. DC obviously realized that a depiction like that doesn’t exactly make for a good feminist message, hence why the comics had her split from the Joker, and have given the character her own identity.

That's not perverted. Wrong, maybe. But not perverted. Unless Batman got off on her being Dick's ex.
Except Joker literally used sexuality as weapon in The Killing Joke. Not his own, but Barbara's against Gordon.
I disagree. Joker works best when he's playing off other characters, not when he's just doing things. Harley opened up that avenue.
No. No one said that.
Exactly. Her problem has nothing to do with the fact that Joker has a sexuality.

It gives off some serious Woody Allen vibes is all I’m saying. I think I’d rather have a Batman who kills people.
I guess, but that doesn’t mean that he himself should be sexually active.
He works best when he’s playing off Batman. Harley Quinn is a needless distraction.
I can’t say I ever recall claiming that Harley ruins the Joker for other people. She ruins the Joker for me personally, which is just one of several reasons for why I despise her. To be honest, the fact that her entire existence is rooted in misogyny is fairly low on my list of reasons for hating the character.

Joker as an Incel? That's a weird approach to the character.
