Well, that's just PERFECT!*#^*! A giant step backwards in human development. Though it will cut back on human overpopulation and its detrimental effect on the environment.

It's so easy to say, "the devil made me do it", when in reality, it was something that benefitted the perpetrator.

I'd like to put in a plug here for the under-the-radar little film "The Ritual."

From the OP: So then what's the point? I think anyone believing the "word" of religious tracts rather that the metaphoric and parabolic nature of the material is rather silly anyway. Does a catholic really believe in the ritual magic nature of transubstantiation during Mass?, that they are actually consuming the living body and blood of Christ at the time? Most people just go along with the fundamental aspects of religion and acknowledge that it is mere symbolic in it's nature, especially since we live in supposedly more enlightened times.

Do they still have decent WiFi and a good selection of beer in New Asgard?

Yes, but most of the Catholics are continuing to believe something they have believed all their lives. As opposed to starting up something completely new just for the fun of it.

I have re-studied Roman Catholicism, after a ten year hiatus of studying other religions. I returned to Catholicism and began to study the esoteric teaching of St. John of the Cross, St. Teresa of Alvia and the other Carmelite mystics. POF, I became a Third order Carmelite.
It is a very satisfying study.
