It's always a feast day for a Catholic Saint or three... In our diocese, Mass this evening celebrates Saint Boniface. But my Saint of the day today is St. Franco of Assergi. He was an all-round nice guy. Prayed for water, and a healing spring appeared. Resurrected both dead sheep, and wolves. Came across a wolf who had taken a human baby... He poltely asked the wolf to return the baby to it's mother, which the wolf kindly did. He got fed up of people, and moved in to a cave inhabited by a mother bear and her three cubs... Instead of mama bear ripping his head off, they all lived together in the cave quite happily. Ladies and gentlemen, St. Franco of Assergi 🍻

I love that statue. Some people have enough trouble getting a ball out of a dog’s mouth but getting a wolf to drop the baby is awesome.
Did he have a bag of treats on him?

He might have offered the wolf a jar of peanut butter in exchange... dogs will do anything for peanut butter, perhaps wolfs are the same 🤔

I had been told that a pen or stick should be used but time was important on this occasion. They called me a hero but no one shook my hand.
