If you were looking to elect the hardest working man in the horror business, Dustin Ferguson would be a contender. He's directed a plethora of music videos, short films and features since entering the industry. Ferguson started out in video editing in 2004 and he earned the professional internet title 'Retro Horror Remix'. He aided in the restoration of horror films by re-inserting cut foootage and deleted scenes. His editing skills attracted interest from producer John Klyza who'd taken a controlling stake in the long-running 'Sleepaway Camp' slasher franchise. Ferguson was born in Kansas, raised in Nebraska and he currently resides in California where he shoots a lot of product for SoCal Cinema Studios. He's a quick worker who admires prolific genre stalwarts Fred Olen Ray, Jim Wynorski and David DeCoteau for their drive, innovation and thrift; Ferguson recently completed filming on 'House Of Pain' (2018) in just two says in southern California.
Ferguson's directed two installments in the 'Camp Blood' slasher series and he's a contributing director to the popular 'Grindsploitation' franchise. Brinke Stevens believes he possesses the kind of creative energy the horror industry needs if it's to keep moving forward and gain additional funding power. Having first worked together in 2013, they've recently been shooting a project entitled 'RoboWoman' (scheduled for 2019).
What are some of your favourite movies directed by Dustin Ferguson?
Thanks.

I've seen little of Dustin Ferguson's work to date. Last year he co-directed the comedy 'Horndogs Beach Party' (2018) with Ohioan Henrique Couto in California. In addition to his work on the wildly successful 'Grindsploitation' series, he also participated in the spin-off 'Trashploitation' (2018) which is co-produced by horror filmmaker Ron Bonk; there are plans for 'Monsterploitation' and 'Baadasssssploitation!' so I think it's fair to say they're really milking this concept for all its worth. Ferguson has his own 'Meathook Massacre' franchise, so you can see how busy he keeps himself.
I clearly have a lot of catching up to do but I do like one of his movies, a microbudget slasher that's based upon the original outline for the unmade follow-up to John Quinn's slasher 'Cheerleader Camp' (1988).
'Cheerleader Camp : To The Death' (2014)
'The Juice ("Gimme Gimme Dat Supa Juice")' - Janelle Monae
