The Face of Another Persona Andrei Rublev Balthazar Tokyo Drifter Blow-up The Shooting The Red Angel The Good, the Bad and the Ugly The Nun ^^ Pretty much that list although not in the same order.
The Sword of Doom (1966) was another good movie staring Tatsuya Nakadai

Yes, that and Irezumi, just missed the cut. Like 1964, a very good year for Japanese cinema. For some reason 1965 fares no where near as well. Maybe I just haven't seen the right films yet.

This is a tough year to pick ten. Not because of great films, but because lots of 7/10 lightly likable type films and films with a few good things going for them.
1. ISLAND OF TERROR 9/10
2. Savage Pampas 8/10
3. Blindfold 8/10
4. Chamber of Horrors 8/10
5. Stagecoach 8/10
6. The War of the Gargantuas 8/10
7. The Poppy is Also a Flower 7/10
8. What Did You Do in the War Daddy? 7/10
9. Beau Geste 7/10
10. The Apaloosa 7/10
