I run into proselytizers weekly in the subway. At least 98% are JW, although I have met a few LDS. So I asked a JW, "Why are you here", to which they responded, "To spread the good word". It's total BS because they're really fulfilling their proselytizing quota for the month. Their real objective is to convert you.
I once asked if they believed that everything in the Bible were true. Of course I received a "yes". When I asked if they had thought Jehovah really killed millions of innocent children with his great flood, her comment was, "He must have had a good reason"
I'd like to take a survey of proselytizers to see what kind of BS they spew. I'd like to come up with 5-10 standard questions and the post my results in a few months. Some of the questions that I've considered are, - Why is your Bible different. Why did Jehovah wait until the 19th century to reveal it to Charles Russell (or Joseph Smith, or Mary Baker Eddy, or L. Ron Hubbard)
- If your religion is the one true religion, why don't people flock to your church on their own. Why is it necessary for you to cajole them into joining?
- When approached, do you start the conversation with, "No birthdays, no Christmas, No blood transfusion for any reason. If you find that unacceptable, we don't want to talk to you. Move on."
- Why do you think my religion is stupid? You obviously think my religion is stupid or you wouldn't be here.
I'd like you to provide me with some questions for these annoying people.

Just ask them yourself on a JW message board.

I never believe people who say they ask JW questions.
It’s not that I don’t want to believe as I’m not in the habit of automatically calling people liars, but every time they quote their response it sounds phony.

In any event most of those things can be answered at jw.org.
They aren’t the shyest religion out there.

I have to admit to being tempted to stop and talk to prosthelytisers (note I spell it differently) and discuss with them my views pretty much as I do on here, and then it occurs to me that in fairness, I would be doing the same thing as them...
so I walk on by and feel sorry for their wasted time and delusion and following the orders of men in the name of God.
