Definitely looking forward to it this weekend! Jessica Jones is definitely Marvel's second best show (after Daredevil). They both delivered probably two of the best villains to date, Fisk and Kilgrave. Season 2 may not have been the greatest, like Daredevil as well, but early reactions are saying it goes out on a high note with season 3. which is definitely encouraging. Season 3 of Daredevil definitely rose the bar, so it'll be tough to beat.

Jessica is awesome. I'm gonna try to limit myself to 3 eps max per day...

Can't resist, so I will. Sad it is the last season, and that we may not see Krysten Ritter return as Jessica assuming Marvel Studios ever decides to do anything with her once rights are 100% all back.

Both seasons have been great so far, looking forward to season 3. It'll probably take me a week or so to get through the season, I'm not a binge watcher.

i am not, 2nd season sucked, i stopped watching all Netflix shows when i heard they were canceled Did you at least watch season 3 of Daredevil? It's probably by far the best season of Daredevil and just about every season of all the MCU shows. It really raised the bar in quality and storytelling and one of the only instances where I wouldn't have mind if there were more than 13 episodes for that season.

Started it last night and...Meh. Liking the Trish stuff and the superhero outfit try out montage in ep. 2 was a little fun but ultimately a bit lame and a little out of character - Trish used to be an actress and a pop star so she's had to wear tons of outrageous outfits in her day and had to make them work out in the end, and when she finds a pretty comic accurate suit she's like "Oh hell nah" without even thinking it could be altered to look better. Based on several fan artist concepts an accurate Hell Cat costume can work in live-action, and for a series set in the MCU you would think more may take influence from the heroes who wear otherwise silly attire but still look stylish like Captain America(Whose been mentioned the most on Jessica Jones out of all The Avengers).

I'll watch it eventually, as well as the other Marvel Netflix series, but no interest as of now.

Four episodes in and loving it so far. Always forget how great the writing is on this show, every character is fleshed out and feels genuine. If Jessica Jones is the superhero who with no desire to be a hero, Hogarth is the ideal supervillain of this story (and this is just my take; as of now she's not behind any grand schemes or anything, she's just a terrible human being). She's awful but captivating. She pulls strings, ruins lives, does things for greed and spite; but not for anything beyond personal gain. And not personal gain as in power like Fisk; just enough to live comfortably and get what she wants. JJ is a drama that has enough humor to keep it honest and enough action to remind you it's a superhero story. And I like that; needing to be reminded it's a superhero story.
In three seasons, I can't think of a side character-- villain, ally, supporting character or otherwise that felt like dead weight. Looking forward to seeing what they do with Hellcat, I've been excited about the possibilities since season 1. I will say if they wanted Jess to take on an analog for Dexter this season, they should've just cast Michael C. Hall instead of this other guy and telling him to do a Michael C. Hall impression. But he just showed up so we'll see where it goes. More thoughts to come as I work my way through the season.

Watched it all over the weekend, thought it was enjoyable, JJ is the best bit of the show for me, Trish I really soured on last season and it remained this season, her self righteous bullshit got on my nerves from the get go, her calling herself JJ's moral compass made me laugh, what sort of moral compass is someone JJ literally had to peel off the floor of a shitty club to prevent her from sucking a guys dick for drugs?
Did not buy the new guy never getting a twinge off of Trist with his evil detector power, I mean she killed her best friends mother in cold blood iirc when JJ was hugging her or some shit, and she didn't do it because she was a threat she did it because JJ's mother hurt her and she felt afraid with her around, so to make herself feel better she killed her, in front of her best friend, and her response to this later on is hey Jess it's time you get over it? fuck you lady.
Really the show lives or dies for me on Jessica, I like the neighbour guy but not enough to recall his name, Trish annoys me, Jess knocking her down a peg or two anytime she got too cocky was enjoyable imo, Jeri or however you spell that twats name fucking bores me shitless, I don't give two flakes of a crusted cunt about her life, why couldn't she have croaked in the first episode? and why does Jessica ever got to her? this fucking twat tried profiting from Killgraves dead baby and sells everyone out as soon as it benefits her in anyway, Jess shouldn't have refused to kill her she should have thrown her through the fucking window as a preventative measure, she knows Daredevil for fuck sake he can give her legal advice and he would do so with the best of intentions and not betray her to get himself in the paper, the villain of the season wasn't that great but he wasn't bad either, sad thing was he never had the advantage outside of the first episode due to him being smart but because other characters were fucking stupid.
I liked the cop being back this season, nice to see someone not with their head up their arse who has a badge, he gets yeah he has to enforce the law but he cannot stop Jess doing what she's going to do so why not just try and make it as smooth a process as possible.
ill need to do a rewatch of all these shows, I don't think I ever went back and rewatched S2, S1 I did once I think, but now this is the end of the show maybe for good I wanna go and do a series rewatch see if watching the seasons closer together I appreciate certain character arcs more or less, maybe this time I will be able to remember thingy's name, poor thingy he gets no respect.

I liked what I didn't like with Trish. Being addicted to wanting to be a hero and wanting to have powers. Despite it turning her into a bit of a bitch in season 2, just for a superhero genre, I thought it was a strong arc for Trish and glad it carried over to season 3. And you're right, it eventually turned her into a self-righteous asshat. Despite what she went thru, I don't think you were supposed to sympathize too much with her by the end, and I just think that's good characterization. But it was satisfying seeing Jessica just knock her off her high horse.

But it was satisfying seeing Jessica just knock her off her high horse. I wouldn't have minded if I ever believed Trish actually felt bad for what she did, instead it's just constantly about Jess getting over it and accepting Trish as an equal or some shit despite Trish never doing anything to earn any forgiveness or respect, I did like how they act differently though as "heroes" I say "heroes" because Trish sure as fuck isn't one, but Trish thinking it's all exciting and fun where as Jess gets that this isn't a game it's serious, and that something like pissing off a serial killer is probably not something to get happy about.
And like I said I just don't buy the human evil detector didn't sense shit off of Trish, I mean whether she is usually a good person or not is irrelevant imo she tracked down a person with the intent to murder them in cold blood then did so whilst she was like in the arms of her daughter who just happens to be Trish's best friend, like no that's an evil pos right there imo.

I've been watching this the past week and I'll finish it in an hour or two. It's definitely a much better season than 2.
It's not as good as season 1 because Kilgrave really propped that up on a notch but it ain't too far off.

Are a closet fan? Be honest. Like I've said before, I'm a fan of superhero movies and TV shows. I've watched 80+ superhero movies and 25+ superhero TV shows. And that just includes the live-action movies and TV shows and doesn't include animated movies and TV shows. I've watched Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, The Defenders, The Punisher, and Inhumans. I watched the pilot episode of Jessica Jones but it was so boring and crappy I stopped watching that.
