I thought that Messi started it by throwing his shoulder into the guy's chest. Sure looks to me it started things going.

Can't view that tweet but in this one I see incident from another angle, and, yes, Messi isn't entirely devoid of blame from this view. Gary Medel is a feisty, excitable player nicknamed 'Pitbull' and he reacted accordingly perhaps. No need for the dismissals though. The ref went mad. I wonder if VAR would have got involved with something like this if they had it. Where does VAR stand on opponents fighting? On its arse like with everything else probably. It's something of nothing. It left Messi tearful as he left the field (so what, some might say - I'm just pointing it out) and deprived the crowd of two players who are 'interesting' to watch, though perhaps not for the same reasons.

That's the same thing I posted stagg. And yeah, I guess it was a bit harsh.

For Brazil, Willian is out after picking up a late injury last time out, Richarlison is a 50/50 with Fernandinho also racing for fitness, although of course neither are certain to start if fit. Allison, who has already won the tournament's Golden Glove award, is attempting to keep a 9th competitive clean sheet (for Brazil & Liverpool)
For Peru, potting legend Jefferson Farfand is likely to miss the game, but fear not as Peru's all-time highest potter Guerrero will be up front with Edison Flores.
BRAZIL (2/7) (1/9 trophy)
PERU (10/1) (11/2 trophy)
90 min draw 9/2

Brazil beat Peru by five goals to nil in the group stage, but it is highly unlikely that it will be as easy this time around.

OK, the dancing and singing has started. That means the soccer is not far off.
It's like a Men's World Cup Final.

The female singer's titties are magnificent and her nipples are about to make an appearance any moment now. Whew.

I'm on... Brazil to win, and a penalty to be taken.

The Peruvian players belt out their National Anthem with gusto. They are in fact shouting, outdoing the sound of the PA, the crowd and just about everything else.

Nice try there from the 35 yard free kick as Cueva fires near on the Brazil goal.

Where would the Irish be without them? I prefer their mangoes. Speaking of which, I missed that singer earlier. Wait, that's a dive from Sandros, isn't it?.... No, it isn't, the other fellow did catch him.

Everton for one-nothing. Wasn't there a foul on Brazil at the halfway line before the goal? The ref played an opportunistic advantage, I think, and they went on to score.
