Consisting solely of 5 extended vignettes, documenting the slowly crumbling career of fictional rock musician Becky Something played with gleeful elan by Elizabeth Moss. At turns frantic, sombre and tense, full of wilfully distancing stylised dialogue and for the most part in-your face hand held camera work. Some minor quibbles aside an interesting take on the fake rock biopic genre.

it was decent, weird to not make the lead likable or sympathetic until the end

weird to not make the lead likable or sympathetic until the end I didn't mind that. I like how unrelenting the first three sections were, so the change of pace/tone on the fourth really hits you. Then the final sequence is initially tense but ends on a note of hope.

The title is pretty terrible, but the film's definitely worth a look.
