kinda of a let down since there is hardly any Vera Farmiga and Patrick Willson in it and the kids cant pull the entire movie on their own even though McKenna Grace has a great scene there its just not enough. A few visually very interesting scenes some goos and creepy scares but overall barely above average for me.
6/10
what did you think?

How is this franchise still going? James Wan is the only director in the series so far who knows how to make movies.

The last wasn't great, so no surprise there.

I thought the first Annabelle was terrible, the second was a bit of an improvement, but not by much and I was contemplating going to see this one this evening, but after reading some reviews with similar comments to what you have written here Nora, I decided it would have annoyed the crap out of me. I was disappointed with the new Child's Play film I saw last week—just watched the classic original again—I hated The Nun from last year and these films are just getting more and more boring with similar demon flash imagery and shock sound effects. They are asinine and milking a formula for all its worth.
I liked the first Conjuring film, and loved the second one. None of the spin offs have rocked my boat. I am not even looking forward to IT Chapter II. Wasn't that impressed with the first. I am anticipating Ari Aster is going to come through with the goods again with Midsommer, like he did with last years Hereditary. Classy and well managed and thought out horror.
I liked IT a lot, but I wouldn't call it a masterpiece like people made it sound. It was a good King adaptation though, definitely better than the new Pet Sematary which was awful.

Well he should stick to The Conjuring, because as far as I'm concerned, he didn't do that great with Aquaman. I thought he directed Aquaman really well. His shortcomings were in the writing.

Honestly heard nothing about this. Didn't see a trailer or anything.

Egh I’m tired of the Annabelle spinoffs. The second was a better film than its predecessor but that should’ve been it. I’ll wait until home video for this new one.

It was kind of an interesting experience. I am not a fan of jump scares but there was honestly so much buildup with not that mane jump scares, it almost got a little tiring. And then at the end they gave a few which seemed mostly formality. I appreciate the suspense but maybe have some more of that suspense built into the writing. Or maybe not. I guess that what makes a conjuring movie.

That's disappointing that Patrick Wilson & Vera Varmiga are hardly in this. I'll still see a matinee show of the movie though.
