Do you wish you liked them? Or are you fine with the way things are?
I've thought about hypnosis to try to like eggs and butter. Everything else, I don't care.

I am one of few people who don't like ice cream but I can enjoy it with certain toppings.
I would suggest you try quiche or frittata.

I truly dislike eggplant. I've tried it every which way and I just don't like it ever.

I truly dislike eggplant. I've tried it every which way and I just don't like it ever. My favorite vegetable. I would suggest you try baba ganoush. Quite a different flavor. If you like the taste of sesame. Available in most Middle-Eastern restaurants and groceries.

I prefer tahini based dips and hummus as opposed to that but I can tolerate a good one.

So many of my friends like the raw Sushi/Sashimi dishes, and I just can't enjoy them. It isn't an "ick factor," but I think that cooked sea foods have so much more flavor. And, I really don't care for the texture ... maybe that's part of "ick factor."
I live only about a mile from the Pacific Ocean. When I drive along the beach, and see the seagulls diving-for-dinner, I think "how can you eat that stuff?"

I'm pretty happy with the way things are.

I also don't like melon of any kind (and that includes watermelon sometimes!) I just can't stand the smell of them: cloyingly sweet.
I sometimes wish that I would like them, but am happy with the way things are.

I dislike about 90% of all vegetables. I just can't stand their textures and how they feel in my mouth when I chew them.
And yes I wish I did like them. probably be healthier if I did

Most items I don't like, it's because I'm allergic-tree nuts, mushrooms. I don't like sushi-for me I want cooked...all the way.

I have no reason to wish I liked any of the foods I dislike (which aren't that many to begin with).
I wish I liked to cook though...

As an avid seafood lover, I had tried for years and years to like oysters but it just never clicked. Still, I persisted because I really wanted to know what the fuss was about. Finally, 3 years ago, something clicked when I ate at Barroco in Montreal. Ever since, I can get down with a couple oysters before dinner.

Another thing I cannot enjoy is red velvet cake. I have no desire to like it either. How can anyone enjoy eating anything in which the featured ingredient is food coloring? The original idea was good. It was once made with beets and carob. Now it is made from painted batter. I cannot understand why it is not made with natural ingredients.
