For those of you who were long-time regulars from the old country, is there anyone whose posts/viewpoints you particularly enjoyed who hasn't reappeared here or elsewhere?

I miss the IMDB Care Bear and Final Hikoturi. They were both really laid back and fun.

Discussing the movie and asking and answering questions. It can be done here except in most cases you will probably have to start the original post for the movie in addition to making whatever comment you were going to make about it. Since most movies probably haven't even been mentioned here yet. After watching a movie or an episode of a television series I still go to IMDb to look up some specifics of the show, or to find out "who played...?" but it was so fun going to the discussions about the film or show to see if someone else had already made the comment I was about to make or had already pointed out what I was about to point out.

I know but I preferred having each movie and TV show with it's own board rather than a general one. It was also much easier to discuss, ask and answer questions on the specific page that related to that issue. When we were able to do that on the old IMDb, it made it much easier to find what you asked or discussed about. Here you have to wade through all the replies until you find the ones you want, if you get them. Unless they quote or tag you, then you can go right to it. I suppose if I wanted to I could flood the relevant page with specific things and create a new page with each new question or comment that comes up. Like under Movie General: Batman and Alfred. Batman and Robin. Batman and Gotham. Batman and The Joker. Batman and his parents. Batman and his fighting style. Batman: Rank the movies from best to worst. Batman and his vehicles. Etc. etc. That could get obnoxious. Pros and cons to both boards and not having specific pages is the biggest con for this one.

Mainly on the IMDb Food and Drink board I miss MuggleFan, ms_sunshine, nutsberryfarm and ZolotoyRetriever.
Wonder if the above people and others some of you have named just never went to any of the IMDb alternatives?

What I miss about the old IMDB boards are the "this post has been deleted because..." and "things we learned from" threads. They were so much fun.

I miss thinking about a show or a person and going to the show or persons board to see what's being said and joining in. Or if the Board is not active, reading the old posts, and still maybe responding to one or some of them or leaving one of my own. Obviously we can start topics here too -- I'm glad about that, but it is not the same.

marianne48I particularly miss Janagolightly from the old FG. Even on a bad day, she could and would make anyone laugh. That guy with the changing Wood-chipper names. He was funny and knew his films Drunkbear. Funny, silly, wise. Great story teller. FG and watercooler regular.
