If not, where does it rank?
I put it just behind the Toy Story quadrilogy and the first four James Bond movies.
What say you?

Indiana Jones is pretty dope. But yeah Avengers is pretty phenomenal. Not sure where I'd rank it in the long run. I need to see how it ages.

The storyline was carried well through the series plus interweaving in the plots of the related films. I’ve not seen TS, but does it have a central theme? Absolutely, it does. It's one long character arc for the protagonist, with each film diving deeper into his fear/inner conflict. Brilliant story telling. Go watch them!

What say you? near the bottom, Alien, Planet of The Apes, Indiana Jones, Lethel Weapon, Mission Impossibles, Vacation, Ernest, Bourne series, Police Academy, Karate Kid , etc are all miles better

I feel its one of the worst film series of all time sadly And yet you saw all of them in theatres and continue to see every other movie that continues, expands, and leads into them...You big hypocrite.

Best/Good are opened to individual interpretation and luckily for all is always up for grabs. At best I guess you could equate $$$ to most popular or you could say most critically acclaimed for Avengers. (I haven't actually gone through and averaged out the scores for every movie with 4 installments just assuming might be close with Toy Story on the Critical Acclaimed though)
Edit: Without checking I would assume Toy Story would be the most Award Winning.

Probably is (for me). I can only think maybe Alien or Toy Story (though not seen 4) would come close.
If I was to mark each film out of 10 and add them up I think it would be tops.

It's the top one for me. I haven't seen any of the Toy Story flicks beyond the original (they just aren't my cup of tea) the same with the Bourne flicks (first one was ok, but not good enough to make me want to see more), but based on the ones I have seen I'd rank them as follows:
Avengers Lethal Weapon Indiana Jones Alien Scream Batman (1989-1997) Superman (1978-1987)

It's not a quadrilogy.
