I wonder how it'd have done.

They really wasted this one. I don't know why they decided to dump it as a TV show.

Thanks Ike Perlmutter and Jeph Loeb for transforming what could've been a really cool movie into easily the weakest and most disliked series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so disliked they'll most likely reboot it in the future and totally ignore whatever your flash-and-sprinkle series was altogether.

I think it could have been good, in Feiges hands, hope he gets it in the future.

I think it was meant as an "I told you so" to Perlmutter. They wanted it to bomb so they let him make it so cheap, it was sad.

I don't think they let him do anything, when Feige got the movies taken away from Perlmutter the 2 sides became completely separate, Feige didn't have any input from what I heard, and Perlmutter took Inhumans with him as a fuck you to Feige, though I maybe wrong I dunno.
I don't think the cheapness was the problem, it was a problem sure but it was also the writing, the story wasn't compelling or anything, nor the characters engaging, lost of shows made on a shoe string can work great, though admittedly doing a show about a species of humans with superpowers including one who has full control of all of her hair which she can use as a weapon, doing that on the cheap is stupid as hell.
I dunno if Inhumans was ever going to really work though, not how they wanted it to which was as a X-Men replacement just because they aren't the same things, one thing with X-Men that is great is that anyone can be a mutant, and then when that comes out the ostracization you are shown for something you cannot control touches a lot of people, Inhumans can work that way if you retool it, but by having them be a separate civilisation doesn't work, unless you have an entry level character you follow, a new Inhuman raised as human who unintentionally gets their powers and now finds themselves between 2 worlds, like how AOS kind of did it, but doing it how the show did with the main characters being the overly privileged rulers of this separatist society that looks down on humans, not so much, it can work in itself but not as an X-Men alternative imo, which Perlmutter didn't seem to think about, he just saw ah they have powers like the X-Men their the same thing.

I have long said the disadvantage Marvel has been at was their heroes have more fantastic powers movies have not been able to portray in decades past like movies have done with Bats & Supes. Inhumans needed a movie special effects budget, not tv Don't forget Perlmutter thought people wouldnt notice swapping Howard out for Cheadle because both were black

But yeah Inhumans would have been better off with a bigger budget or atleast better effects, which doesn't need movie budgets, for good effects you either need time or money, which was the problem iirc they didn't get either, Inhumans was rushed out to put it in Imax and Perlmutter is as cheap as he is dumb, but regardless of that like I said the story wasn't good either, give it the top grade effects and it's still a pile of shit, it would just have been an expensive pile of shit which maybe made some money, but just because Transformers made money never stopped the movies from being crappy.

He isn't one of us. It's my complaint about the DC movies. They could do the same as MCU & let comicbook folk make the movies they want to see, but they only see dollar signs. He sold toys. I'm betting as cheaply made with as much markup as possible. Then he got into Marvel during the bankruptcy phase. No respect for fanboys. We are a source of money. Why make good product? He nearly sold Cap to WB. The reason we had the C level heroes in MCU is he oversaw selling Marvel's A listers off. Yet Marvel made it work. Inhumans are unbelievably powered. To do right by them, they REALLY need to be animated. At least the CGI bit like for Hulk. Cutting Medusa's hair as a way to avoid working with her very CGI powered hair? Lame Perlmutter doesnt respect us Why should we respect him?
