For me it's usually just salt & pepper, but sometimes I'll sprinkle on some garlic as well. Very-rarely (years between) I'll have cheese on them too.

Salt, but not on top of the salt that's already on there.

I stir-fry steak, onion, garlic, and mushrooms and put it on top of the fries.

With hamburger: I add a small dollop of ketchup to the plate, and dip every 3rd, or 4th, fry in it.
With Fish & Chips: I just let the malt vinegar that I dribble over the fish, ooze under the "chips."
Usually: A little salt, if I see/taste that they haven't been salted, at all, in the cooking.

I cook my own at home and I put on salt & pepper. I make a Ketchup/Tabasco mixture that I have on the side of my plate for dipping.

Salt, but not on top of the salt that's already on there. I ask for no salt, then I may put a little on. Pepper I sometimes take a tiny baggie of garlic powder, onion powder, and fresh-ground pepper to fast food places and use that.

When out to eat most people get mashed potatoes with a roast beef dinner. Not me. This is great. My mouth is watering just looking at this.

I CRINGE at all you who put ketchup on their fries!!! Ketchup DOESN'T belong on fries!! It belongs on burgers, brats, Italian and Polish sausages...and hotdogs. French fries are SUPPOSED to be HOT (temperature-wise; spicy is optional), why would you want to ruin them by cooling them down with catsup?!?!

I give my fries to the birds. If they are salt free, then to a cat.

Mayo, sometimes barbecue sauce. I know mayo is fattening, but I also don't have fries everyday.

I don't see how people can put wet stuff on fries. They're crispy, but that makes them soggy.

In fact, I eat all the fries before starting eating my burger or other foods (same with onion rings). The only time I am forced to take a bite of the other stuff is if they are going to come around quickly and ask "how is everything?"

I voted "Mayo" because I sometimes put Ranch dressing on fries. there's a hidden valley Ranch French Fries now
