Broad - it was Varun Aaron who bounced him in the face, twas a nasty one. I wonder if our Indian friends here remember Aaron?

Ain't Test cricket great!
Day 1 Smith redeems himself with a fantastic innings after a woeful batting display by Australias top end and excellent bowling by England.
Day 2 Burns puts England in front.
Day 3 1st session Australia in front again by using bowlers who work the pitch.
Still lots of possibilities. Can England tailenders produce a competitive score? It has happened before. Can Australias top order earn their pay, or will Englands bowlers show their class? This game could go down to day 5. Some pundits were predicting a snoozy three day test.

Australia have only won once in England when they have been this far behind after the first innings.
(In 1961 at OT when they trailed by 177 runs.)

Well this partnership has swung England's way. Australia's going to need to get at least 250 in their second dig to have anything to bowl at. On Broad: I don't care how well or otherwise those in competition for his bowling spot are going, you have to pick him for the Ashes in England. He's always in the Aussie wickets and his batting was crucial in 2013 and 15 too.

England should select this guy: The man doing the commentary seems like someone from 1950s.

no, aj hates the aussies. he is supporting england. Oh. I'm not sure he hates the Aussies. I don't get that impression from him. I don't like the Aussie cricket team at all. All my life I have seen them winning. It's just jealousy on my part. Otherwise, I like Australia and the Australians in most other things. Nice people. And I am an England supporter when it comes to cricket. They are my second fav teams.
