Good to see the Mets trio of Gary, Keith and Ron in the top 3, they make for a terrific broadcast every night. When I watch MLB Network and you catch other broadcast teams, you wonder what these networks are doing putting up these talking corpses. Forget about showing life, they just can't properly describe what's going on with any semblance of excitement, grasp of basic vocabulary or even proper syntax.

LOVE stats like this, and though I've seen/heard almost none of these broadcast teams, other than that of the Brewer's (#8 overall) Brian Anderson and Bill Schroeder (Anderson, in my opinion, is great.....a real pro's pro; Schroeder, more of an acquired taste), this is interesting stuff. Thanks for posting.... SAVE FERRIS

I was very confused when the Red Sox let Orsillo walk. I loved him when I lived in Rhode Island and was thrilled when the Padres got him. I didn't want to seem like a homer in Nutsberry's thread, so I didn't say the Pads, but until this year, the only good thing about the Padres were the mustard and mud uniforms and the broadcast team.

Blue Jays have always had fine crews, tv & (until only recently) radio alike. Dan Shulman is terrific, esp. being from here he can offer truly local flavour. Buck Martinez is technically sound & he's only off when he gets on a mini soapbox (who doesn't?), Buck is actually best when things get really improv'ish, away from the canned anecdotes. Pat Tabler is a softballer, & yet 162 games, he's most welcome. I think we're spoiled in Toronto. Jim Hughson has been the lead for Hockey Night in Canada for years now, did Jays for years prior this current era.
Our radio crew though needs work. They seem like they're covering the wrong sport, like upbeat basketball type guys forced to cover baseball.

In my experience everyone seemed to hate Buck Martinez... except me. Glad to see that's not true.

Thankfully the former has been slowly vanishing these years. He is still on point discussing what pitchers & catchers are likely thinking, situational oddities, & anecdotes eons more fascinating than the yahoos at YES who sound like a dick swinging contest. I swear Paul O'Neill must be on Nyquil & Tequila combined for every game. Boring, stupid, & rambling.

The Bay Area has been extremely lucky when it comes to announcers in all the sports, my whole life. I had two Hall of Famers growing up, Lon Simmons and Bill King and a slew of greats since. Even today, we have one of the underrated basketball announcers (Tim Roye) and even Ted Robinson with the Niners is great.

The faster it's clear who an announcer/team is rooting for, the worse they are. I hate idiots who say things like "We'll take that double play right now," or only talk about the home team. A professional would barely let his rooting enter his call or analysis.

Broadcasters not affiliated with a team shouldn’t be biased, but broadcasters that are should root for the team they call for IMO.

It would be great if the MLB network would use the feed of the less biased broadcast team for their nationally televised games, or show a different game.

Rarely listen to games on the radio now so not sure what the crew is like but back in the day I can't believe there could have been a better duo than Tom Cheek and Jerry Howarth.

I'm especially talking about his first stint, when he was on the TSN broadcasts, when the Jays games were split between TSN and CBC. Before he left to manage them. And when it was announced he was returning ito them for Rodgers broadcast, no one (especially the older guys) seemed to be happy. I always liked him and Dan Shulman, was disappointed when they both left, but got used to Pat Tabler.
