No, I'm not talking about all of those appauling sins that you've committed. Though you should be ashamed of yourself! ...I'm talking about that oppressive summer heat. My apartment is roasting hot at night... And I mean ROASTING HOT. Sometimes I think I am literally melting in there. And no I don't run a fan because I just can't sleep with one of those on me for some reason. And opening the window only makes the bus that goes by at 2am that much louder. Man, I wish I had A/C. Summer nights are the worst. Innit? Excellent, most pertinent question. I sleep in a Queen size beds, resting on the floor, with A/C and two box fans going on full blast, one point at the left side of my head and the other positioned to get the right side of my body, nice and cool. Of course, the wonderful white noise cannot be understated. But the soft glow, xmas tree lights - whites, greesns, blues, yellows, pinks and oranhes... Who's gonna fight bthat? trace the perimeter of the room and with me and my 6 or 7 stuffed animals and 3 or 4 blankets and about 12 pillows of different sizes and shapes, with AIR music being played in the background, low and soothing and two cold Perrier limes for whe I get thirsty, and then the finaltouch is 20 mg of Zolpidem to ensure 8-9 nights of slumber bliss. Me and my stuffed babies are all safe and chill and I cannot a more pleasant sleeping experience imagne.

With AC and a fan. It's Vegas, so the AC is a necessity. And I may or may not have sleep apnea (not, according to my doctor), but whatever the case, I like the breeze.

I live in sub tropical climate and no air con unit. Have ceiling fans. My bedroom faces west and in the summer afternoon it is like a sauna. There is no escape and just cope. Too many complaints here from those here who don’t know what it is like to be hot. Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Is getting a window unit not a possibility for you, Toasted Cheese?

No, Mom is in her 70s, She went through menopause a long time ago. It's just who she is... I feel scared of your mother Mr. Dirty and I don’t even know her... Her apparent lack of depth is disturbing.

Heat isn’t that much of a problem here in London this year so I’m sleeping well.

I used to sleep nude when I was young, now that I'm an old lady, I wear pajama pants and an old t-shirt.

I don't sleep. I hate those little slices of death. I saw what you did there... See, this is one of the things I love about IMDb v. 2.0! Where else can you find someone quoting Thayer David (as Count Saknussemm) in the James Mason version of Journey to the Center of the Earth (one of my faves)?

It was also among my favs as a child.
I just discovered that a very similar quote is featured in Nightmare on Elm Street 3 (a movie I've never seen) and is mistakenly attributed to E.A. Poe. At least no one has been able to find the source in his works. Of the posters who "liked" my post, I'm unsure about which film they think it's from. Oh well.

Well, it's usually mosquitoes that kept me up during summer, but the latest repellent I bought is working wonderfully.

Summer nights are the worst. Innit? I don't have AC either, but I have a fan that makes sleeping easier. Have you tried laying some bath towels on the bed and sleeping on those? There was a summer in Florida where I wouldn't have gotten any sleep if not for that. The linen felt like a hot frying pan.
