what I meant is that their initial goal was never about entertainment or art, but money, and money alone. i.e no passion, all business. Don't agree with that at all... but if that's how you feel … so be it.

'Social message distribution' is about catering to all audiences. Though it depends on your view of whatever the message may be. Yes, because the goal is only to "educate" people and not necessarily with sincere concern,as opposed to entertaining or express the trials, tribulations, desires, and aspirations of a particular group the way art used to be.

If we really want to be cynical when it comes to Disney, or film in general, the truth of it is they're just going after a new demographic. There's always someone else you can sell to.

Disney is wonderful. It has purchased many creative companies and they continue to make great products. It also continues to make great products of it's own. Some examples in recent years; Moana, Zootopia, Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, etc.

No they aren't because at the same time they are deliberately not making art for Europeans as the founder of the company would have wanted. They are catering to China (and perhaps Africa) only. It's a political agenda.
