It's nice to see a bloody, hard-R adult flick that's not a bloodless PG-13 blockbuster. Looks low budget as well.

If I cared about the Rambo franchise I'd complain that this ruins it. As it is I'll just complain about how generic it is. Rambo vs. the villains aging white guys apparently fear most these days: Mexicans.

I really wish Sylvester Stallone had gotten a BIG Name Actor to Play the Main Villain in this New Movie.
I mean if this is going to be the Final Rambo Movie then it should have him going out against a Villain that is played by a BIG Name Actor.
That said, I myself would have loved to have seen it be Antonio Banderas.

They were already enemies in another movie where Sly killed him. I dunno if Antonio would wanna die again at Sly's hand.

Where are the police? 911. What's your emergency? This is John Rambo. A bunch of mean looking guys are coming to my farm here and looking to kill me! Send everyone you can right now! 911: Is this a joke? What are you calling us for? You deal with them. Don't ever call us again. *Click* 911. What's your emergency? Yeah, this is Jose. I'm here at the Rambo farm. I am seriously wounded. Oh god! I dunno if I'm gonna make it! A bunch of my hombres are hurt too or dead. We need cops, ambulances, everything you can send here to help us. Pronto. 911: Well, if you guys are attacking John then you all must be really bad and are deserving what you get. Why should we help you? So no way Jose. Good luck senor. *Click*

I think it's a genuinely good film and Mel gave a really good performance that's really a reflection of his own self (with all his own scandals) and rising above it.

Doesn't look much different than your typical non-franchise Stallone action film for these days. However, I'll give the trailer credit for having more of a connection to the previous films. The cherry on top would have been to hear the Jerry Goldsmith "It's a long road" theme.

Not expecting much, but I'll see it out of curiosity.

Looks like it will have potential. Would’ve stopped at the fourth one, TBH.

The cherry on top would have been to hear the Jerry Goldsmith "It's a long road" theme. Well, it's the lack of the long hair and the headband really. They've always been the staple of the character. I guess in context of the story being 11 years after the last one, Rambo was bound to shave and cut his hair eventually.
