Who here has seen the original Magnificent Seven? I have seen it and enjoyed it very much. Both it and the true original Japanese version...The Seven Samurai.

Who here has seen the original Magnificent Seven? I have seen it and enjoyed it very much. Me too, I'm a Yul Brynner fan. I really liked him in it. I also saw and enjoyed The magnificent seven ride, with Lee Van Cleef.

Who here has seen the original Magnificent Seven? I have seen it and enjoyed it very much. I've seen it many times. It's a classic adventure Western based on Seven Samurai (1954).

I have too. A great and enjoyable movie starring many Hollywood legends. I tried watching the new "Magnificent Seven" starring Denzel Washington but got bored after just 20 minutes and turned it off.

I like the 1960 version. The music put its over. I'm not that crazy about the way the story is told or the characters, or rather how they develop. The action sequences rock, the photography is outstanding. For me there's something missing in the film. It doesn't quite engage me the way truly great movies do: it's too "intimate" and isolated in its setting to be a true epic and yet too "big" to work as a series of character studies and contrasts. There's a blaring quality to it. My take, for what it's worth.

A fine western with a compelling cast. Used to always watch it with my grandfather when I was kid.

Who here has seen the original Magnificent Seven? I have seen it and enjoyed it very much. There's an excellent book The Making of The Magnificent Seven: Behind the Scenes of the Pivotal Western by Brian Hannan which, although pricey, is an indispensable read for die-hard fans of films. It includes insights about the decisions over casting, the negotiations with the Mexican government and so on which make for fascinating reading.

It was one of my favorite movies as a child. Now I just think it's just good, not great.
The cast, though. One of the best and most badass ensembles of all time.
