Was Schefty wrong for breaking the Andrew Luck news being a press conference was scheduled for 3pm today so Luck could announce his retirement?
Should he have respected his privacy and allowed him to break the news himself?
Or was Schefty doing his job?

This is such bullshit that Schefter is getting flak for this. It’s literally his job to report it. Blame whoever leaked it to him. If he had sat on the news, what happens next? Rappaport reports it first? Once it gets leaked it’s over. I guarantee that Schefter isn’t the only one it was leaked to

rumors swirling that Brissett/his camp leaked it Schefty did appear to be a giddy lil school girl on SportsCenter this morning quite proud of himself explaining how it all went down - he was celebrating his mother in law's birthday at a swanky restaurant in NYC - and getting texts from NFL GMs asking him if he was sure about the news - went on to say that Matt Hasselback texted him asking him if he was sure - that he himself talked to Luck that very day and didn't hear this. Schefty couldn't stop patting himself on the back. Way to go Schefty  |
