Yes. I watched season 1. It was inspired by a true doomed expedition and also based on a book. Lots of great detail was given to the period setting etc. I thought it was great.
I've just started season 2. Episode 2... For some reason the Pilot is not on Demand. (I cannot record on my device.) It takes place at a Japanese internment camp. Still digesting it. Anyone else watching?

Yeah, I loved the first season, so I thought I'd give the new one a chance. It seems interesting so far. I think I also missed the pilot. But they'll show it again.

I liked season 1. Very bleak. I've got Season 2 on my DVR but haven't started watching yet. The promos look nice and creepy though so I have high hopes.

Episode 3 airs tonight...
*spoilers*
Wondering if they will show what happened to the man who was working for the DOJ. They left him stranded on the Ice with intent to kill him.
I'm no historian... Would they let a Hispanic woman carrying a Japanese man's baby into an Internment camp?
Some of the dialogue doesn't fit the time period. But I'm going to let it slide for now.

Liked S1. Watched the first ep of this season and it was bad. The story is poorly defined, the human antagonists are caricatures, the gender relationships are 21st century, the acting serviceable, but worst of all it was boring. This is not a serious period piece, it might as well have been set in 2018.

I loved season 1. Everything about it was great: the story, the acting - the CGI monster could have used a few tweaks but it didn't detract from the series overall. Still, I had high hopes for season 2 but having seen the pilot, I'm not impressed. I'll watch a few more episodes before I give a final verdict.

More anachronistic dialogue this week... The bodycount is rising.
I'm assuming the season will end showing the people being released from the Internment camps. (Those that make it...) Maybe a small flash forward?

Just watched the finale... Well. Really didn't care for a majority of the characters or their fates. That's an issue when the entire show is centered on them. This was just an agenda driven project disguised as a period piece. What a disappointment. With a sentimental ending tacked on.
It's a shame we probably won't get more seasons and chances for the show to redeem itself.

The first season had me waiting impatiently for each episode to come out, this season, definitely not. I think if they had gone along the lines of season one, doing something based on a real incident with known characters - such as the story of the Donner Party or the Dyatlov Pass incident - they might have been more successful.

The Unabridged English version Audiobook is a great listen. One of the best narrated things I've heard. Also extremely long which is great.
