I have a Very Strong suspicion that I am going to get attacked, insulted, or just have cheap shots thrown at me for saying this but I will anyway!
To All of the Fans Here of the New "STAR WARS" Movies, I sure could use some advice.
I am a BIG Fan of these New "STAR WARS" Movies (I actually have been enjoying what DISNEY has been doing with them and I absolutely love Daisy Ridley and her character "Rey") and yet, I have seen a lot of negative comments (here on IMDB2) and in Reaction Videos (on YOUTUBE) and a lot of them have just basically been people Whining, Complaining, and being Totally Disrespectful (they are calling the movies Trash, that they Suck, that the New Characters Suck, that the Fights are Terrible, that there is No Story, that there is Nothing New or Original, that they have Killed the Franchise) and it has really Really REALLY been getting me Annoyed, Frustrated, and Very Very Angry.
Heck, it also even kind of makes me feel like I am in the minority when it comes to liking and being a Fan of these New "STAR WARS" Movies even though from what I understand, the "STAR WARS" Fan Base is really split 50-50.
Now I realize that I can't control what others think or feel about anything but still, I just feel that that type of disrespectful attitude is just wrong and part of me even feels that they should be called out for it and I actually have been doing that a lot here on IMDB2 although I am sure that it will just continue to lead to more constant back and forth arguing like it already has been doing over and over again and that leads to my question below.
What would honestly really be the best way for me to handle all of that and how I am feeling about it ?

Just try to talk in spite of it. Keep the conversation relevant and specific. There's a thread about the newest trailer on the politics board. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but last I checked, none of the responses were really about the trailer.
Personally, when I saw the trailer, the end of it looks like Rey's going dark, in which case I called it. I said it ages ago, partially in response to her growing powers and partially in response to the criticism of her being a Mary Sue character. I was sure her powers were growing from a logical place within the story and the most sensible explanation (to me) is she's more dark than light in her soul, and the dark side grows more quickly in the dark. I think a dark soul is more barren and therefore more fertile ground for the dark side to take hold.
That's also me spitballing Star Wars. I could be wrong about that too, but a universe that broad and full of speculation is where the fun is. So that's my theory, that Rey's going dark, and I feel like it was hinted at in the trailer.
It could be a red herring/false lead too, like a dream or hallucination. Could even be the new big bad taking on her form to throw her off in a one on one fight. What do you think?

Probably a vision of an alternative future is my guess. People keep saying she's a clone which I hope that's not the case. I know the technology exists in this universe but something about that feels a little too soapy. Like say if suddenly Han Solo came back alive and well because they were just in a coma and then was also made into a clone.

To be fair, They did kind of set up that Rey could be a clone in "THE LAST JEDI".
Remember when she was down in the cave, she asked to see who her parents were and instead the wall shatters and all you then see are a bunch of copies of her in a row.

That's one interpretation (that I wouldn't have thought of in a million years so I'm glad someone else did). Clone never even crossed my mind till now either.

I disagree with TheCat, talking with ST haters will get you nowhere. I've changed people's minds about abortion, but in two years I haven't gotten or seen one of these people ever even consider an opposing view. Anything you say goes through one ear and out the other. And I think they really do love to hate it.
Leave the echo chamber, seek out people who do like them. Blow the stink off.
