Cersei was at the to of Arya's "Kill Bill" list. Though fate intervened, and Daeny succumbed to the dark side of the Force and roasted the Red Keep. If Arya did make it to the castle, how would she have gotten past Clegane?
I suppose Sandor would be required to step in and take him on, but one good whap and Arya (being outweighed by over 300lbs by Gregor) would be dead. Gregor could use Needle as a toothpick.
What was her real plan?

What was her real plan? A jump into his face, the rest had been done by Valyrian steel. Sandor had only a regular steel sword. Nightking > Mountain. The first one could resist even dragon fire. The Mountain was a living death: fire, dragon glass or Valyrian steel were introduced as the way to kill living death. Fire killed the Mountain in the end.

What was her real plan? I don't think she had a plan. I think she would have assessed the situation when she got there (see how many guarded her, Cersei's behavior, etc.), and then found a time when she could be alone with Cersei.

With good writing, she wouldnt have encountered him. She shouldn't have been dumb enough to take him head on if she could help it. If she has one weakness its strength. Sandor always bested her, Brienne gave her a run for her money in a sparring match and if the night king didn't have a literal kryptonite then he'd have snapped her neck.
Arya was an assassin. Good at stealth and deception and fair in combat with a blade, but she wouldve gotten destroyed by the Mountain in combat.

Bronn was correct when he called him, "Freakishly strong".
