On a golf course? Not counting mini golf. My first time golfing I got a birdie on a par 3. I didn't put it in I chipped it in.

No, but I did once hole one on my 2nd shot on a par 5 from over 220 yards. It barely left the ground, a low line drive that just kept going, hit the green and just rolled right in.

I've never played real golf. Did play pitch-and-putt 60 yard holes and never got one.

Yes. Twice. First one was a fluke. My ball ricocheted off the side of a bunker across the green and ran into the hole. The second one was a proper shot. A 7-iron from 148 yards. It bounced twice and disappeared down the hole. Cost me an expensive round of drinks but the club had a 50p per month fund to cover this for subscribers only, of which, fortunately, I was one.

Why can't we count mini golf? I did manage to get a hole in one on the special bonus hole 19 and won a free game. I think that's a bigger accomplishment than landing on the moon or becoming president.

Nope. I hit the stick once on a mid iron approach though. From a 10,000 ft gully no less. All's I heard was the smack. It was glorious.

The course here you drop the ball into a plinko type of game and it's based on luck to go into the "Free game" hole.

I never watch golf on TV unless I want to take a nap with the TV on. What the PGA should do is organize mini putt charity games that the pros play. That I would watch. I dunno why they don't do this.

Do you have to putt into a regular hole? If so, how did they know you sunk it? The course here you drop the ball into a plinko type of game and it's based on luck to go into the "Free game" hole. It was set up like a bridge no wider than the golf ball, about 20 feet long over a big pit and if you got a straight enough hit the ball would stay on the bridge and there were three more holes, two just after the bridge in lowered pits with the bonus hole just beyond them. So you had to hit the ball straight down the bridge with enough power to get passed the three bogus hole pits sunk in the ground that were designed to entrap your ball and return them back to the club house. If you made it past the bridge section and the three bogus holes there was a 4th holes just beyond all that crap where your ball would go down and set off bells and a red strobe light on a poll, which guaranteed you got a bunch of pissy looks from everybody else on the course because they are bitter at sucking.
The good thing was the mini golf range had two separate courses so we got to play the other course for free!
I tried looking up a good example but couldn't find any good pics.
What I did find were some photos of Disney Worlds Fantasia Gardens. Disney's Mini Golf course in Florida. Played there on one trip and loved it! Especially cool at night!

OK so you do have to putt to get it in which seems a lot more fun, why not with one more hole to play, then the lame way of dropping it in by hand plinko style as I mentioned we have. I do think, if memory serves, that a friend I was with did win it. It prints out a ticket for the free game.
