I've seen a few episodes recently and I am actually almost lost for words. Is it meant to be a comedy? Am I missing something? I can honestly say that in my hurumph years of watching telly, I've rarely seen anything so appalling. I watched it because I've seen Kat Denning do some smashing stuff (Defendor, Thor) but this is not even mildly amusing. The larger lady who makes two cameos per show I've seen in Friends but again, her character and that stupid voice is stultifyingly unfunny. It even sounds irritating. The voices and dialogue and the canned laughter on rapid repeat. With the sound down....the girls are pretty.....but this is not enough to carry this white elephant. All subjective I know......but for me this is bloody awful.

I was a fan.
I missed the first couple of seasons. However, I must have found it completely by accident because it airs on Monday nights. I have been out on Monday nights during the fall, winter and spring for the past 20 years.
In the latter seasons, when Sophie made an appearance, she would walk in, and say:
HEY EVERYBODY!
And the audience reacts like they've never seen a girl before.
It still airs in syndication. I sometimes watch it on Saturday afternoon. It airs on an independent station in Buffalo, NY.

I've watched several episodes and I didn't laugh once.
That was it for me. It seems to be on all the time, though.

It currently ranks #9 in my list of the worst comedy TV shows of all time. Me barely laughing was reason enough, but it was also an offensive show. No, not because of the stereotypes. Only a clever show could be offensive in its comedy and this one was too crass and witless. No, I was offended at the life lessons it tried to teach. They were misguided and at times hypocritical. For example, there was an episode where CAROLINE got a new job and MAX got her fired. MAX gave a speech about not forgetting one's initial goals (their cupcake business). About not accepting the first job opportunity that comes around. Ummm... She did need it! You two were broke! That was the entire premise! Hell, you didn't even want to start the cupcake business until CAROLINE insisted! Even if the speech was true, you didn't have to sabotage her like that! The larger lady who makes two cameos per show I've seen in Friends but again, her character and that stupid voice is stultifyingly unfunny. You mean SOPHIE? When she first appeared, I thought she was funny enough to almost save the show. However, after a while, even she couldn't elevate the material.

Probably the worst 'comedy' show ever made.

Hate at first sight. I don't think it was as popular as another CBS network comedy that recently ended. They waited six seasons too long to cancel 2 Broke Girls.
