Jesus... what a worthless p.o.s.
Currently on HBO, and fun enough to call out how terrible it's going to be if you have a couple of friends in the room. Outside of that terrible in just about every conceivable way.

So the Ouija of 2018?

Hmmm. Possibly. I haven't seen Ouija, but I can assume it's awful. I did however see the sequel that Mike Flanagan made, and that was not as bad as it probabl should have been. I don't foresee any real director coming on to make a sequel to this idiocy though. The whole movie is centered around one really terrible special effect. It looks absolutely horrible and even a character describes it as a 'a messed up snapchat filter.' It's amazing that anyone thought that would be any good to begin with, and even more amazing that they overused something that looked that low grade and awful. So maybe that does sound like Ouija? Without the not-so-bad follow up though.

It's trash. But entertaining trash. At least the cast is eye candy.

It's trash. But entertaining trash. At least the cast is eye candy. The cast is eye candy, and they're mostly not all that horrible (though certainly not any good either, but who can blame them with this script?), but I disagree on the entertaining trash part assessment. I found it painfully stupid with a script that made no sense and was ultimately, unfortunately very boring.

Yea it's kind of what i expected it to be. I will say it's got pretty good pacing for most of the film...but the third act drags a bit. Not too many cool kills either...couple gun shots, couple stab wounds. The neck break near the beginning was the best one probably. The incredibly selfish ending kind of left me surprised too. I get what it was going for it just seems very unrealistic that someone who spent so much time being a good person would essentially doom the world to a horrible demon just to buy her and her friend some time.

I saw that movie as 'Truth or Die' a few years back and I thought it was mediocre. I didn't love it, but it certainly was much better than this embarrassment. Oddly, there was a movie called Truth or Dare from like a year or two ago from the SyFy channel which is essentially the same plot as this movie and yet is actually not that terrible.
