It makes me laugh how as each Disney Star Wars movie comes out, Anthony Daniels goes on about his "great role" in the said movie. Then people watch it and he's barely in the damn things.

of the film? They're the one's in all the films. They've never been heroes. At best they are heroic helpers. R2D2 is more than C3PO. Lucas intended them to be unofficial narrators of the entire episodic saga. So at best they might have some small role in helping destroy the Sith at the end. But even that is virtually impossible to happen now since Disney has relegated R2D2 to a scenic backdrop cameo. He has been totally replaced by BB8.

And R2D2 is even more insignificant. The famous chemistry between the two of them is gone. BB8 has replaced R2 but there's no chemistry between him and C3PO.

C3PO literally tells the OT's story to the Ewoks in Return of the Jedi. The original Droid duo were also front in center in the very first Star Wars theme park ride, Star Tours, that opened in the 80's. They were the ones who spoke out to the audiences for the majority of the attraction. That rubs me so the wrong way. R2 has been a driving...force (haha) for the story since Episode 4. Without the Droids taking off in the escape pod in Episode 4, they wouldn't have met Luke and sent him on his mission. R2 saved the queen's ship in Episode 1. R2 took blaster fire in Episode 6 to help his friends gain access on Endor. R2 took blaster fire in Episode 4 while in combat with Luke to blow up the Death Star. C3PO provided council throughout episodes 1-6 and was instrumental in communicating/forming an alliance with the Ewoks. Then all of sudden they're not taking part in helping their friends in Episodes 7-8?! Pff.

You do know that R2-D2 and C-3PO are at least 60 years old.
They are a couple of old rust buckets by now.
We need new blood.
Or at least new oil.

It should be sand. It's coarse, rough and irritating. And it gets everywhere
