With a title like that Iโm not surprised.

a bunch pretty people stuck on an island, the acting is so bad I actually wanted to see it, but then I heard that it was the worst TV series of the year from multiple people so I passed. I hear it is beyond awful in every way.

I watched episode 1. It was definitely bad. I couldn't tell if they were intentionally doing it kinda like a Sharknado type of thing or if it was just by accident.

It would be unfair to call this a LOST rip-off just for taking place on an island. It's a LOST rip-off because of the flashbacks and also how it applies sci-fi elements. In fact, the revelation of what's really going on is one of many predictions people made about LOST. I guess I give the show credit for revealing the truth relatively early (instead of dragging out the mystery), but the overall plot isn't that interesting. Episode 7 in particular is so uneventful that it doesn't feel like a finale. A lot of lines said by and decisions made by the characters feel unnatural and unrealistic. Natalie Martinez's performance is good, but everyone else range from bad to passable.

I found the first 2 episodes to be dumb but watchable, then it goes downhill fast. What I don't understand is they have Kate Bosworth and Ron Peet, both talented actors, yet the main character is a C lister. They also went out of their way too make every character unlikable and the big guy just randomly rapes women who want to have sex with him. Shame, it was a cool idea.

I don't think it's that bad. It's not great or even very good but I have certainly seen a lot of shows that were worse (Another Life on Netflix for example). The ending of the series was, however, just bad.
