This is what created Jeffrey Dahmer. lol
Seriously, I like the third one better than the original Exorcist. Am I alone here?

I haven't seen it in years! But it's streaming for free on Vudu, so I'll probably catch it this week.

I may look it up if I like the version on VUDU. Hell, I still have a video store in my town. I bet I can rent the uncut version from them.

Scissors!
I heard about the jump scare in this for years and when I watched it, I liked that they throw in a diversionary jump scare to take you off guard.

I like both but I still like the original the best. 1 and 3 are good the rest are not.

I watched it again last night. Funny how I'd not seen this movie for over 25 years and I still remembered a lot of it. I agree it holds up better than the original. I rewatched that a few years back, and a lot of it had me laughing when it was supposed to be scary. This one still held up.
I read about the director's cut and was a bit disappointed. It's not a real director's cut, but an approximation of it made using a VHS tape to piece it together. It's more a glimpse as "what could have been" than an actual director's cut. It sounds similar to the "Donnor Cut" of Superman II. From what I've read, I feel the changes the studio demanded were probably for the best. That said, I'll still check it out eventually.

Nope. But that place looks cool. It's a local place that's been here forever.

Nope. But that place looks cool. It's a local place that's been here forever. The Alamo Drafthouse theater in Brooklyn has video store attached. I go to a different Alamo Drafthouse in the area, and I don't know if they do this everywhere, but there's a monthly 'Video Vortex' program where they project movies from a VCR that are only available on VHS. Loads of fun.

It’s still the only one I have seen in its entirety. Pretty effective though.

The original just has a special place in my heart, but I always recommend III as a worthy follow-up

Just finished watching it, finally. I liked it a lot, and it’s a massive improvement over 2. Though I still favour the original more. Brad Dourif stole the show as the Gemini Killer.

I have actually grown to respect the first film more now I'm later in my years, especially with the last cut I viewed - felt it more scary now than it was when I saw it back in the day. Legion, however, I have always thought a great film. Blending serial killer police procedurals with demonic links to the first story, it grips and frightens on both those terms, with a bit of cerebral thought thrown in for good measure. Plus it's impeccably performed by the cast.
So good that after watching it for the first time I purchased the book right afterwards. I'll be rewatching and reviewing it for the challenge for sure.
