They had the obligatory mixed race couple. And the second victim who was white, her best friend was a black lady. That is not real life. That is what liberals and Hollywood would like to happen. This is the first movie or TV show that I have seen in a long time where there was no obligatory gay couple hugging and kissing. That was refreshing. I was waiting for it. how is this not real life? I dated black men and one of my best friends is a mixed race couple (who have been married for 45 years and had to deal with some super racist shit) and many close friends who are black. And I am white. How is this not real? I get it I live in a liberal state but I dated some black guys when’s i lived in Europe and my mixed race couple is from Kentucky. I get that it may be less frequent than the movies and shows these days are trying to portray it but it does happen in real life. I found nothing odd about her having dated someone who was black.

Just finished the 1rst season of Netflix's "Unbelievable". In my opinion it was good. Not great. Very liberal, pro-women's rights. SPOILERS The main victim was supposed to be portrayed as a victim of the system. But she came across as just a looney toon, psychopathic liar. Her story kept changing. I wouldn't have believed her either.
And the main two female detectives came across as too attempting to be comforting and understanding. I would be offended as a female victim.Have you seen it? What did you think? I also agree it’s good and not grate BUT how did her story change other than dueled with fingers as opposed to toes. I didn’t notice she would be changing other things or not to the point where it wouldn’t make sense that someone who had just been raped cannot recall all details or is embarrassed to share them. Especially if it’s the fifth time. I didn’t think of her as looney toon or psychopaths liar either what else is she lied about that would make you say that? I agree the female detectives were Too nice and there was sometimes too much of a pro female propaganda or rather it was too pushy/obvious (Wind River did a much better job in this area) but I didn’t find it off putting and wouldn’t be offended as a female victim if they treated me that way (but I may be the only woman left on the planet who had not been raped so what do I know) and certainly was still able to empathize he’d with Marie. Like you never lied about anything in your life especially as a teenager? come on.

And if it's the best actor for the specific character, so what? I assume you are responding to my second post. You really ought to use the quote button. I don't believe it is. I believe there is an agenda by Hollywood to include minorities in a "United Colors of Benetton" type thing. Because they want a world with racial harmony, equality and no discrimination. It's what they want the world to be. Not what the world is. They know people are influenced by Hollywood. They are trying to change the world. and would the world really be changed for worse (if that was true and it worked what you describe) and there would a United colors of Benetton of world in “real life”? How?

It seems like a forced agenda.

It's not whether she dialed the phone with her fingers or toes. It's that she changed her story 4 times just in the first episode. She was raped, she wasn't raped, she dreamed it, she was hypnotized. Thanks for agreeing the female detectives were "too nice". I would be offended. "Don't patronize me. I'm not a baby. Just do your job. I'm an adult. I can handle it."

The last episode (#8) was ridiculous. It wasn't the city's fault. It wasn't the detective's fault. It was her fault. That's what happens when you keep changing your story. Nobody believes you. You need to tell the truth. And stick to it. All that demanding an apology. And suing the city. Preposterous. I don't think she would have won in the real world.
