What lesser known zombie (or virus films that turn people in to creatures a bit like zombies ie 28 Days Later) films would you recommend.
RAMMBOCK (2010, Germany)
La nuit a dévoré le monde (2018, France) (aka The Night Eats The World)
Two films about a guy stuck in an ex-girlfriends apartment during a zombie outbreak
LES AFFAMES (2017, Canada) (aka Ravenous)
Slightly odd zombie flick set in rural Quebec
SORGENFRI (2015, Denmark) (aka What We Become)
Follows a family quarantined in their house while a mysterious outbreak takes over outside
LA HORDE (2009, France)
Cop vs criminals in an apartment block, who then have to join forces to survive an oncoming zobie horde
WILD ZERO (1999, Japan)
Zombies, aliens, gangsters, punk rock...great fun. Starring one of my favouruite live bands Guitar Wolf.

Graveyard Alive: A Zombie Nurse In Love (2005) B&W, dubbed indie horror-comedy that sees a shy nurse become a flesh craving zombie with assertive confidence and sex appeal.

Maybe just lesser known in the west but...
Train to Busan is one of the best recent zombie films I’ve seen.

Here Alone (2016) It is slower than most zombie movies, but it allowed for an atmosphere of sadness and horror to develop that you just don't always get from most horror films. I really felt like this is what could happen to most people in this situation. I recommend that anyone reading this try and see this, it's not your typical zombie movie, but it left me thinking about it for quite some time afterwards. Not much gore, but so much more.

I'm not entirely sure what's considered lesser-known, but The Dead Next Door was a fun straight-to-video cheapie that Sam Raimi had a hand in way back when.
For a more recent, more somber zombie thing the Netflix production Cargo is decent.
