So what's everyone planning post-Challenge? For me, the new Godzilla boxset is calling my name. Plus, I usually spend November rewatching some annual favorites from the likes of Hitchcock, Tarantino and Scorsese. With daylight savings kicking in, I always feel the urge to settle in with some longer, deeper fare. Really, I'll probably stay away from horror until Xmas, and then it'll be time for Black Christmas, Christmas Evil, etc. I'll never stay away from horror for long, but I *am* taking a bit of a breather. My first viewing for November was my newly acquired Blu-ray of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea".

I got a hankering for some Charles Bronson stuff. My next Bronson will likely be Red Sun. I currently have that in my Amazon shopping cart.

I finished with a grand total of 45 viewings (27 for the first time, 18 rewatches). I always wrap up with John Carpenters' "Halloween". Three other classics I watch every October are "Pumpkinhead", "Psycho" (1960, of course), and "Creepshow".

I'm at 33 movies, but I plan on watching more tonight, including the original Halloween and perhaps the 1981 sequel. And I picked up the new blu-ray release of The Blob (1988) so I'll be watching that one for sure. I too got the new Blu-ray of "The Blob" from Scream Factory. It's LOADED with new bonus material. I particularly look forward to the commentary with Shawnee Smith and the interview with Jeffrey DeMunn.

Yep, lots of good bonus material. I've watched all the interviews, but haven't listened to the commentaries yet.

So another October has come and gone. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the 3rd annual IMDbv2.1 October Horror Challenge from discussions or sharing what you watched for the month. Congratulations to those who completed the challenge this year, and TheSowIsMine for taking top honours for the second straight year. One thing I noticed, and happy to see is a rise in numbers of participants with each year. So I hope everyone enjoyed their month of horror binging and we hope to see you next year when the October horror challenge rises again.

I'm happy with my placement. I've always wanted to do the 31 horror films in the 31 days of October thing. Never done it until now. No way I reach the highs some of you did but I look forward to doing another 31 for 31 next year. I'm just glad I completed.

Thanks to lostinlimbo for hosting this. I had a lot of fun, watched a lot of movies (and only one or two duds, at that).
Same Bat time, same Bat channel next year!

I like the fact that it is under the radar with regards to cited films giving it a somewhat cult status. I imagine that, given the accents, it's something only known to British and Irish viewers. I should have recorded it myself but no doubt the Horror channel will repeat it.
