Yes! I would have been really disappointed if this didn't turn out great!

The only thing that gives me pause is the long running time (3.5 hours). I mean you have to clear a chunk of your schedule to watch the whole thing without interruption.

Itโs on Netflix so you could break it up if you wanted. I personally canโt do that (for a number of reasons), but I feel like most people will watch it in two or three sessions.

There's boohooing about this being a Netflix film and the death of cinema and blah blah. If this was a theatrical release it would have to be broken up into two films.

Wait so this isn't being released at all in the theatres? I read it's getting a one day limited theatrical release. Seems silly to me TBH.

Netflix? That's disappointing. Marty helping kill off theaters all so he can pocket a few extra dollars. Just kidding. I wonder if all the little whiners that cry about people watching a downloaded or streaming movie will have an issue with him now? If not they are pretty much hypocrites, right?

80 reviews in and still at 100% and the average rating is 9.17. Looks like another Scorsese masterpiece

I am concerned about this film being a "good but massively overrated" type of film. I mean people see a Scorsese film now with De Niro and Pesci and it's like a kneejerk reaction to call it a masterpiece partly given people's love for their past collaborations.

Very good movie. Quite different than Scorsese other movies especially compared to his Mafia themed movies this one is somewhat sobering and subversive in a way that it doesnโt give you what you might expect of it but itโs so well told. The acting the camera the subtlety of both the humor and the drama in itZ.
3.5 hours is long. But 3.5 hours of this movie felt quite enjoyable. Try and watch it in one sitting if you can.
And yeah, an Oscar nom for vfx is guaranteed and maybe even threats itself. The deaging technology turned another corner with this movie.
8,5/10 from me. I still liked Goodfellas more but not by much.

Is it true that in the last scene Joe Pesci says
"I am Iron Man, you motherfucker you."

There's boohooing about this being a Netflix film and the death of cinema and blah blah. If this was a theatrical release it would have to be broken up into two films. The problem was from the getgo was the de-aging process is an expensive bit of CGI so the studios were afraid to fund it when his last film lost money. (I liked Silence). That left Netflix. Ever since the days of Blockbuster rentals, cinemas have guarded their little niche. One of those guards is a 3 month/72 day exclusive to theaters contract. This one is streaming by the end of the month. Netflix COULD have fiven the theaters 3 months. Hell, 2 chains said they'd go 60 days. Netflix refused to budge off 45 days. This is why the anti-marvel rant. Scorsese wants another oscar which means theater run. Have we lost independent theaters? Yeah, but it was happening before Marvel
