Aside from Anakin and Padme's romance and the sand line...what is about this Star Wars gem that attracts so much hate from people??? Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones (2002):

I really don't understand why so many people hate the film either...
Even some of the worst Star Wars films, are far better than some of the best films in other franchises!
I enjoyed the film...
Finally, it was long over due for Yoda to get in on the Lightsaber action... Only Yoda, could use the force to lift his Lightsaber from his belt, and fly it into his hand!... Yoda-da-man! Yodaman!
It will be a moment long remembered!

I didn't vote, because I strongly disliked the first half...but the second half is a very good action movie that I enjoyed a lot. So while I won't say I hated it, I can't honestly say that I like it either.

Least favourite out of the whole series but not sure if I actually hate it. I don’t like it either though.

Maltin Movie Guide Review:
Attack of the Clones - 2 out of 4 stars
"Lavish production showcases an overlong story that serves mainly as a transition between Episodes I and III in this ongoing saga. Wooden characterizations and dialogue don't help...but the computer-generated Yoda is terrific, and the coliseum action sequence (an homage to Ray Harryhausen) is a knockout."

Like others who have replied, I neither like it nor dislike it. In fact, I can't even remember the bulk of what goes on. However, I loved much of the last fifth or so, esp. Yoda in a lightsaber duel with Christopher Lee and Natalie Portman starting to get her clothes ripped off by monsters.

You say "aside from the Anakin and Padme romance", yet that's pretty much half the movie.
The Obi-Wan half is better, and gives the movie an actual plot which was largely absent in TPM. Although it's pretty nonsensical. "Oh look, a mysterious army of clones of an evil bounty hunter working for our enemy...let's use 'em!" Palpatine isnt smart, everyone else in the Republic is just a blithering idiot.
Of the prequels, it's easily the most dated. The CGI looks worse than TPM three years earlier, and the digital photography is hideous to look at.

I liked AotC better than The Phantom Menace and The Last Jedi.

Like? Sure.
I really like everything Obi-Wan gets to do here, including Death Sticks. The rain battle is great. Of course, the romance dialogue needs no description how silly, & Threepio's one liners are weak.

It's literally the only Star Wars film that I would describe as "boring". I thought The Last Jedi had its problems, but at least it wasn't torture to sit through.

Because it sucks. I wonder how many who like it did not see the originals when they were first released. That might be a reason for a rating of less suckage--because boy did it suck to have seen in a cinema.

It's my least favorite of the prequel trilogy and of the entire Saga. The romance was poorly written and Padme telling Anakin that she loved him felt unearned. The CGI visual effects and digital cinematography has aged badly. However, Obi-Wan's subplot was great stuff. Count Dooku was an interesting new villain. I liked Yoda's lightsaber duel.

Probably because it's insufferably dull and forgetable, which I would argue is the worst thing a movie can be. Phantom Menace is like a stale sandwich but with a thin piece of filet mignon, Clones is just bologna on white bread.

The 1 thing that I love the most about "ATTACK OF THE CLONES" is the short lightsaber fight between Yoda and Count Dooku.
