Aside from Anakin and Padme's romance and the sand line...what is about this Star Wars gem that attracts so much hate from people??? Star Wars Episode II: Attack Of The Clones (2002):

I think it was a mistake to split up Anakin and Obi-Wan for so much of the movie (the same with Episode 3). It would have been great to see them bond more. Ewan brought the best out of Hayden.

AOTC is hilarious - by far the funniest Star Wars film ever made.

I don't hate it but some of the dialogue and acting was pretty shoddy.
I don't think it's much better than The Phantom Menace really maybe worse. There's so much more green screen that a lot of it just looks fake.

It's okay. I liked Phantom Menace better.

I don't hate it nor do I know anyone who does. Now, that's a lie. I'm calling you out on that one. YOU may not hate it, but to say you don't know ANYONE who does...? That I find incredibly hard to believe. ATOC and TPM (and now TLJ) are generally reviled.

Except for giving us some pretty cool action and fight scenes at the end it's a pretty silly movie. Its central importance, the romance between Anakin and Padme, is handled HORRIBLY, and it even has some awful FX (factory and arena scenes, anyone) which is inexcusable for a SW movie.
But actually I like it more than TPM. Much more. TPM is simply horrible IMO.

Which is the first? TPM, right?! RIGHT?! No you are wrong The Last Jedi is the Star Wars movie i think is the weakest. The difference for me between TLJ and the prequel movies is that TLJ is actually well made as a movie. We just didn't like what we got from it. But what it gave us was technically a good movie. The prequels are spottily made and didn't always give us what we wanted. They're worse movies for all that.
If TLJ had just given us Luke kicking some ass, and actually training Rey, and maybe even a confrontation between him and Snoke, then we all would have loved that movie. Also it would have been nice to have Finn's story be more significant and substantial. But generally speaking its a well made movie that failed to deliver what we wanted as fans.

I'm well aware of it's reputation in general.

Oh, I know you meant personally. And I'm still calling you out on that. I find it hard to believe that everyone you know personally, likes this movie. Its SO generally reviled that even amongst some of the people you know there have to be some that don't.

I'm not sure what you're trying to get out of this. Now obviously I haven't asked every single person I know what they think of this or any Star Wars movie, that would be weird. However, among those I would have those kinds of conversations with, none have said they hated it.
