So... this is an interesting question. To me it was a murder mystery with some very quirky and off beat humor. I personally didnt laugh out loud more like grinned but my movie theater Roared with laughter for most of the movie... Somtimes annoyingly much so i couldnt hear all of the dialogue. for me it was highly entertaining more than funny but I dig the artistry in it and the fact I wasnt able to guess what was going to come next. Very cleverly told story. So you would not describe it as a comedy? I’m kinda disappointed to hear it’s not that funny, but I’m glad you still enjoyed it. I’m seeing it this Wednesday. Also I have to know, was Rian exaggerating when he said this was a really political movie? Someone said they went to a test screening of the movie and it wasn’t anti trump at all. I think for many people it will be a comedy and it plays like one sometimes but a very offbeat and quirky one, which doesnt mean its less entertainig. I had a smile on my face throughout really. Its quite political yes, BUT unlike the stupidity of cot marvel or new Charlies Angless this one is done effortlesly and smartly and playfully. There is no open hate towards Trump or anyhing like that but it does have pro imigratiom undertornes even though the stronger msg should be seen as “pro humanistic”. Where it makes fun or republicans/ Trump supporters it does so in a fun and light way and where it highlights leftists agenda it does so in a way that doesnt disrupt the story and furher more; it fits the characters. And ut takes shots at both sides in the end. So it doesnt bother me.

You have assumed control. Congrats. Yeah what does that mean anyway? Just now noticed it. It's a quote from Rush's epic (and great) song 2112, so whenever someone hits 2112 posts that's what they get. The single star is also a symbol from the song.

Have to say I didn't like it. There's no mystery and none of the characters outside of Craig's were interesting. The lazy commentary on immigration was distracting. To literally have a scene where the characters argue about Trump and immigration is to give up on writing an intriguing script. There were a few chuckle-worthy moments in the film, but for the most part it was a bore. I had more fun appreciating the house itself than I did anything to do with the actual story. It's disappointing, I was hoping for a bounce back effort after TLJ, which I also didn't enjoy. I guess Rian Johnson isn't my cup of tea.

The movie tells you what happened at the beginning, the only tension is apparently supposed to be wondering if that person gets away with it. The only twist is the Chris Evans plot, which was telegraphed from the moment he showed up. I didn't even think the script was trying to hide it once they were at the restaurant. Not a clever murder mystery at all.

Congrats. but there is so much more than that.... before the movie tells you did you guess that? After the movie tells you did you guess how exactly it was done? And the biggest reveal did you really guess that?

Its overrated. Character and acting decent. Story is well put together. A little slow. Ending slightly disappoints. Political undercurrent distracting. I fell asleep for a couple minutes after the arson discovered. But overall pretty fun and funny too. I liked when general zod was trying to give cookies to Capt america. 7 of 10
As I was leaving the theatre this one guy said, honestly if you just see the first and last 5 minutes, that's all you need to know what happened.

Good movie. Not crazy about the ending. what would you have preferred that happened in the end? The whole, "Get the bad guy to the evil plan while secretly recording them" thing is just so played out. They did the same thing in A Simple Favor, another movie that was pretty good. Just wish movies like this wouldn't fall back on the trope.

This was an interesting movie. It wasn’t at all what I thought it was going to be. It wasn’t that funny to be a comedy and the movie wasn’t all that thrilling to be a thriller.
Surprisingly the politics part didn’t bother me even though I’m a trump supporter. I don’t think that scene added anything though and it could have totally been left out and I don’t think it would have made a difference.
What was with Craig’s accent? It’s like he couldn’t decide on what accent he wanted to use so he went with a mix of accents.
Cast was fine. They did nothing special, but was surprised to see Don Johnson having a decent sized role.
I kinda wished this movie had played out more like Clue like the previews made it seem to look like. I think if I’m correct I heard this would not be the only movie with Daniel Craig’s character and that this could get a sequel. Honestly this needs to stay a one off.
A 7/10 I guess.

I enjoyed it. A bit overrated and overhyped perhaps, but it was quite good. Not exactly laugh-out-loud hilarity, but it had its humorous moments. The cast really makes it work well, especially Daniel Craig and the lovely Ana de Armas.
And yes, the concept is a lot like Clue, but it also recalls the 1976 Neil Simon comedy Murder By Death.

The critics have tarnished their reputation by choosing politics over art. I only reckon the audience score.
