I'm on E1. CLAY sees a student bullying another one and confronts him. It turns out that they're brothers. OK, but why doesn't the older one get angry at CLAY? He just acts like nothing happened.

I'm on E2. 1) Apparently they've abbandoned the "Each episode has a different narrator" format. OK, but why does ANI of all the characters get to be the one to narrate every episode? 2) TYLER is still traumatised because of his assault. Is it believable for him to walk alone at night with his headphones?

I'm on E11. JESSICA and company get naked in the football field (as a form of protest) and TYLER takes pictures of them. I know they asked him to do that, but... Shouldn't he be arrested for underage porn?

I'm finished. The season had its fair share of intense and touching moments but, as a whole, it was a slog to sit through. There's a debate among the characters (as well as viewers) on whether BRYCE deserved a redemption or not. I can't answer that, because I feel the writers/producers didn't make that decision. Depending on the scene, his actions, personality, body language and even voice tone would change. There were scenes where he begged for forgiveness. There were scenes where he said "I know I don't deserve forgiveness," indirectly making him a martyr. For comparison, look at TYLER. He started out as a peeping tom. It was collectively decided that he would have a redemption arc. Now, he's one of the most likeable characters. Granted, it could be partly because we see him as a victim, but my point about this arc being consistent and well-developed stands. There's a good debate between characters about tarnishing a criminal's reputation after their death. Is it a way to achieve justice or will it just upset the family and friends who are (innocent)? I feel like this was abandoned towards the end of the season. Apparently they've abbandoned the "Each episode has a different narrator" format. OK, but why does ANI of all the characters get to be the one to narrate every episode? It turns out that there's a narrative reason for this.

My favorite part of season 3 is the exploration of Bryce's character. I thought it was really bold of the writers, in this day an age, to dive into a character like Bryce the way they did. They asked you to look at him as a person and not a monster. As for whether he deserved to earn redemption or not, I lean towards yes he did. I feel like all people no matter what they did, if they are truly sorry and want to be better, deserve a shot at redemption. After all isn't that the point of everything? For someone to recognize their bad behavior and attempt to be better? But did Bryce do a good job at earning redemption? Not exactly, but it wasn't a terrible effort. For one, I think his redemption was lacking just based on the fact he refused to admit to the police or courts what he did. Sure he felt sorry but from a legal perspective he got away with everything. He may be a social pariah but he could still walk away a free man. I think if he went to the police and confessed that would have went a long way towards redemption. I did feel like he was sorry though and trying to be better despite still having a dark side he had trouble escaping.
