Shoutout Samuel L. Jackson, possible sleeper MVP of the movie. I really believe it was his commanding action packed opening scene which truly switched me on to the MCU as legit. As I mentioned, it was this movie that stepped the MCU's game up beyond the fun & adventuring of the ones leading up. Jackson was king of the screen until Iron Man shows up at Stuttgart. It's Nick Fury that keeps things moving on the carrier when the team is second guessing things & eyeing one another's intentions up & down.

I'm one of the Thor fangirls on the board. Marvel Super Heroes was a barely animated cartoon-about 5 minutes each. Basically like a caomic book page with a couple of things moving like Cap's shield or Thor's hammer. It was more like someone reading a book. Storytime. They did Namor, Hulk, Iron Man, Cap & Thor, but I fell for the last 2. Like many children, I told my father about them & dad said he remembered buying Cap comics when he was a boy during WWII & that our ancesters came from Denmark so they probably knew about Thor so those 2 heroes became embodiments of some of my father's better traits. Both are protectors Both keep their word to the best of their ability. Both are honorable & noble Endgame blew it on both of them. Thor wouldn't become alcoholic. As an author who wrote the character oointed out, they turned him into Volstagg. Why kill Volstagg in Ragnarok if they wanted to use the character? Cap would not settle for happily ever after. He is driven. Look at how many times he tried to join the army. He couldn't give up the mission. Endgame was the Russos giving the characters they liked happy endings.
