Good director, but he wouldn’t have been my first choice.

His mocap animation style makes people seem like creepy puppets, so maybe Pinocchio is a good choice.

Because Pinocchio is one of the best stories ever written and deserves more than the topical treatment Disney gave it.

Cant Disney just give Zemeckis $60million to make something original of his choosing? This is the director of Back to the Future, Contact and Forrest Gump ffs.

He was my favorite director for a very long time, but ever since he made The Polar Express and Beowulf he has become so very bad. Especially Welcome to Marwen. He loves CGI animation way too much and focuses more on using that than actually telling a good story.

So first The Witches and now Pinocchio? I guess after some large flops like Marwen and Allied he has to work as a director for hire to pay the bills.

With that in mind, I’m looking forward to Gore Verbinki’s remake of Pocahontas...with Johnny Depp as Pocahontas and Dwayne Johnson as John Smith.

I feel like the reason he's doing this is because he needs a hit film since his last few films have flopped at the box office.
