I admit it, I was weak, I was bored, I gave in and recorded Days - and dear God, what the hell is going on in this show?
I'm barely 15 minutes into the episode and I've paused it like 3 or 4 times to shake off the shitty dialogue and cringe worthy performances.
Honestly, why are they still flogging this dead horse that is the Princess Gina story? This reached it's pinnacle over 20 years ago....
I...I don't know how to say it without sounding like a jerk, but Drake, Deidre and Christian are too fucking old for stupid, inane scenes like the dream sequence of "Gina" opening the door and kissing John. I'm sorry, time is a cruel and unfair bastard that makes fools of us all; and none of us will get out of here alive - but this was stupid in the 90s when they were in their prime, now they look like they're putting on a bad SNL sketch. Deidre doesn't even look like she gives a shit anymore.
And then John and Marlena are growing this adult-ass woman about smoking like she's a fucking teenager. What the hell is that about?
Is it me or has Rafe gotten more wooden as an actor? It's like a reverse Pinocchio situation or something.
I love Rolf, and even though his accent has always been ambiguous at best, I feel like it was slipping it into some sort of pseudo-Irish accent when he was talking to Ari.
Has "Gina" recently done any of these crimes that Interpol wants her for? Or is this just a ruse Rolf to try and keep her under his thumb? Because it seems odd that "Gina" would have these problems with the law and Hope doesn't.
"I'm not sure what your mom is up to, but I'm going to get you out of here."
Wait, what?? I get that Jordan is apparently crazy, and everyone reasonably suspects she's up to something, but seriously JJ, you plan to just waltz into someone house and walk out with their baby like it's no big deal. You'd probably deserve to cracked over the head even if Jordan wasn't loony-tunes.
Got say though, Jordan plays the crazy really well. Is it weird she seems kind of sexy in the scene at her home? Not crazy because of her being crazy, I think it's more the dress and everything. The craziness is definitely the least attractive attribute; and probably a deal breaker.
I do enjoy the Jen and Jack scene, not for any particularly "good" content, just kind of basking in Jack's final return; although there were one or two times I expected him to turn around and keel over, just so the writers could scream, "ha, ha, got you again!"
It's about damn time though that Matt Ashford has finally begun to show his age; not to bring that all up again, but seriously he went something like 25-30 years it seemed where he was practically untouched by the passage of time. Even now I'm not sure how willing I am to believe he's nearly 60.
