Giants may be losing Madison Bumgarner, but fans can rest a little easier now as they just signed someone named Kevin Gausman to a one year contract. I know I've heard the name Kevin Gausman at some point in the last few years, but damned if I know who he is. He must have pitched for the O's at some point, I might need nuts to help me out with this. great arm. fly ball pitcher. that huge park in sf is perfect for him.

Rick Porcello went 73-55 with the Red Sox, won a Cy Young, and helped us win a World Series. How bout a little respect for the guy? Not saying he was Pedro or Josh Beckett or anything, but I've seen a lot worse Sox pitchers in my day. And in an important game, I would take Rick Porcello over Chris Sale any day of the week.

Thanks Rick, but he's clearly lost his good stuff. Might s well sign Pedro, he might have better stuff still. Porcello had the highest ERA of any starter last year. He really hasn't been consistent since he won the Cy.

And in MAJOR hot stove news, the Red Sox signed two guys named Jose Peraza and Martin Perez. Or is it Martin Peraza or Jose Perez? I really don't know.
Apparently one is a middle infielder and the other guy pitched for the Twins last year and had double digit wins one year for the Rangers.
Our new GM, who I believe is named Ricardo Montalbon, has been quite the busy bee. Although these moves seem, how one might say, "muey loco".

Yes, it does appear that Brock Holt's run with the Sox is over. Quite the interesting Sox career, was so great as a rookie, made the All Star team, then got so bad for awhile that his mere presence bothered me, but yet redeemed himself in 2018 as a guy that could play well all over the place, then topped it off with a great postseason, including hitting for a cycle at Yankee Stadium. Btw, that may be the longest sentence I've ever typed here.

Looks like Kluber may be headed to the Rangers For nothing
He's under team control for two years, I believe. DeLino Deshields and a reliever? They should have got more for that
Expecting them to trade Francisco Lindor for a LOOGY and a package of hot dog buns soon
Kluber gets $17.5 million this year and club option for 18 next year. What the fuck? The Marlins could afford that.

This was nothing but a pure salary dump. Seeing what a top flight starter cost on the open market, the Indians should have been able to get a lot more.

If their ownership can't afford 17.5 million for a proven #1 starter, then they should get out of the business. Yeah, he was hurt last year but his woes came from being hit by a batted ball. He gets hurt again, don't pick up the option. And the AL Central is winnable. Minnesota has lost a lot, God knows what you get with Chicago and Detroit and KC are train wrecks. As the Nats showed, anything can happen if you make the playoffs.

Wade Miley to the Cincinnati Reds on a two year, $15 million deal. nutsberryfarm 🏜 I've heard a little about this Miley fellow. Does this confirm the Reds as a force to be reckoned with next year?
