Godzilla: King of the Monsters was a major box office disappointment, although the 5-year gap in between releases probably didn't help.
With that in mind, do you expect the same for Godzilla vs. Kong?

Probably since we’ve seen zero marketing for it.

there will still be folks that see it because its giant monsters duking out and folks love that! "im one of them" but five months before release and no trailer or poster? most likely means delayed unfortunately unless we get something with doctor sleep or star wars
most movies for next spring/summer are expected to drop trailers next month black widow, scoob, fast and furious 9, a quiet place II, free guy just to name a few. but nothing for Godzilla vs Kong yet

Any word on Fantasy Island? It’s supposed to be out same day as Sonic, but yet there’s been nothing about it.

Morbius and several other summer movies already have a superbowl spot locked in Invisible man is rumored to be attached to doctor sleep. Im thinking fantasy island maybe as well

No, I don't expect Godzilla V. Kong to flop. All may be quiet on the marketing front so that the studio won't scare off potential ticket buyers with an aggressive marketing campaign that would create visions of long lines.

Not a flop, but not an outright hit either.

Here’s a short summary of the trailer:
Warner Bros and Legendary logos surrounded by falling debris (nuclear ash?)
The music from the parachute scene of Godzilla 2014 plays in the background once again
Starts off with soldiers running through a jungle, then more soldiers running through a smoky city. More images of terror; a crowd evacuating as jets fly above, Millie Bobby Brown watching from a school bus full of kids, an aircraft carrier crash landed on a beach
Quotes from characters of previous movies are in the background while all of that is happening. Bryan Cranston’s “they’re hiding something” speech from Godzilla 2014, John Goodman saying “monsters exist” from Kong Skull Island.
The natives of Skull Island appear including Firefist from Deadpool 2 as one of them, welcoming a group of Monarch soldiers led by Alexander Skaarsgard. We then see a familiar looking shot; a large bloody hand print of the side of the mountain.
It cuts to large reptilian footprints on a beach with various people in hazmat suits inside them, more of the cast including Kyle Chandler aboard helicopters. Charles Dance’s line from KOTM; “we opened Pandora’s Box and there’s no closing it now.” Orchestral voices rising.
The Hong Kong skyline at night covered with fire and smoke while we hear Ken Watanabe saying his “arrogance of man” quote from 2014, before everything cuts to black. “Let them fight.”
Lightning strikes down to reveal quick glimpses of Godzilla and Kong, the final shot is a standoff between them both silhouetted, Kong being three quarters the size of Godzilla.
Cue title with falling debris.
2020.
