He’d either be in prison, hospital or dead.

He’d either be in prison, hospital or dead. But do you think he's a hero or a monster? He might also end up as just another sad sack posting provocative statements on the internet.

Would he take care of SJWs and Woke his way and even say "they are not special or a beautiful or unique snowflake, they are the same decaying organic matter like everything else"? Would that make him a hero? He might kill YOU... IF he existed.

If I existed I would say that the terms SJW and Woke have been thrown around to the point where they've lost all meaning.

But do you consider him a monster? Anyone who's ultimate goal is to kill people in order to bring about the change they want is a monster. When you kill people, no matter what your goal, you should be honest and admit... that you just like killing people.

When you kill people, no matter what your goal, you should be honest and admit... that you just like killing people. You mean when he was gonna bombing those banks at night with no one inside in an attempt to erase the debt even if he said he doesn't want to kill anyone but free them? And how about that scene where he held that store clerk in the alley where he assaulted him with a gun with no bullets and inducing fear into him with a threat that he will kill him if he doesn't become a vet within 2 weeks even steal their ID cards? do you think the clerk and the other "sacrifices" got PTSD as their limbic systems will likely stay in overdrive owing to the trauma of having a gun pointed at their head, owing to the realization that there is a crazy madman who talks to himself who knows where he lives and wants to kill him if he doesn’t become a veterinarian and all suffering from anxiety and PTSD? i mean if Tyler existed and did that to someone like that scene would those people have to report him to the police and go through the hassell of getting new ID cards? And is the point of Fight Club is Norton realizes that his other half is a crazy terrorist as Norton draw the line and doesn't need Tyler anymore as he found balance between order and chaos and that woman was as broken as him as they both found happiness? and is the point of the film and book is "find a middle ground and a balance between lifestyles"?

And is the point of Fight Club is Norton realizes that his other half is a crazy terrorist as Norton draw the line and doesn't need Tyler anymore as he found balance between order and chaos and that woman was as broken as him as they both found happiness? and is the point of the film and book is "find a middle ground and a balance between lifestyles"? To be clear, the point of Fight Club is somewhat undercut by the fact that we learn he is actually one person split into two personalities, both of which are at either extremes.
If the characters had actually been two separate people then Nortons character would have had a choice to join Tyler or not. When we find out that he actually IS Tyler, the best we can hope for is that the two versions of himself can be put together so that we have a one successful single human being instead of two personalities at war with one another.
The story actually gives us the FAUX ending that Norton can decide to not be Tyler, and can expunge Tyler from himself. That is nonsense. As much as I love the movie and book, one cannot simply decide one day to not follow HALF of one's conscious. It may get divided into two in extreme cases of mental illness, but you cant just erase it. Its not like an arm where you would be able to cut it off. Its part of your sub-conscious, not removable.
(Chuck Palahniuk continues the story in comic book form where we learn that Tyler is still there after all.)
That was a long explanation to get to my real point, which is this...
The story of Fight Club isn't really a story about two men at odds with one another, one good and one bad. Its really about only ONE man, a mentally ill man, at odds with himself. Nothing good can come to society from someone that is mentally and criminally ill. We only "worship" Tyler because he's cool, and we want to be cool. But ultimately this story, movie and book, is about mental illness. If we knew someone like Tyler, in reality, we would all be like "this guys fucking crazy!"
I'll prove it to you. If Tylers was a better, saner way of dealing with life wouldn't there be real life Fight Clubs all over the world as a means of dealing with societies woes? The few things that we do hear about in reality that are analogous to Fight Clubs (underground dog fighting, mafias, terrorist groups, etc.) are always criminal and outlawed. They're not legal and no one thinks they're sane.
